"Enjoyed our third stay at this hotel . Overall the stay was very good . The hotel is clean and well presented . The furniture in the bedroom could do with a refurbish but the bed and bathroom well spotless . The breakfast was good with plenty of choice and was reasonably priced at £12 per head . On site parking is a great advantage and again reasonably priced at £10 for the weekend . The hotel is literally 2 mins away from the tube station where you can pick up the central line into the city . There is a nice bar in the hotel and also a restaurant. We didn’t eat there but the smells from the kitchens were delightful .South Ruislip isn’t particularly remarkable but there is a lively pub next door and a few cafe’s locally . All the staff were approachable and very helpful and friendly ."

"Excellent hotel in a great location overlooking the Thames . The bed was super comfortable with a spacious bedroom and bathroom and a lovely shower . We loved the Brasserie for breakfast and an evening meal , one of the nicest dining/bar areas I’ve come across in a hotel . The staff were very friendly and helpful , a credit to the establishment . The only slight negative in the bedroom was a fan running most of the night , but it didn’t disturb our sleep too much . The parking option was a great plus , with parking available at the train stations car park , with reserved spaces for the hotel’s guest at a rate of £15 a day ."

"The hotel and staff were great. Our only issue really was that although you get early entry into the park, alot of the rides don't open until later in the day which means there's not a lot to do with smaller kids who aren't going on the skylion. The evening buffet is nice but also expensive and not really worth it for families with picky eater kids"

Horwood House Hotel

"Friendly staff. Limescale in toilet and splash stains on wall by radiator. Could do with more storage I.e. drawers in bedside tables. Comfy bed, nice dark room. Breakfast good, maybe a cold meat & cheese section would be nice. Our room was near amenities so noisy first and last thing, some signs reminding guests to be quiet would be helpful. We stayed for two nights, overall excellent we would definitely recommend and return"
