The Resident Liverpool

8/10 Good

"really good stay clean, well staffed good location. room good size massive bed good aircon ,loved the mini kitchen, reception staff friendly and helpful, cleaning staff on the ball. no bar or restaurant but we got get a bottle of wine and snacks from reception and sit in the comfy lounge ."

The Mill Hotel & Spa

10/10 Excellent

"The breakfast was very good although my wife expected fresh grapefruit and cheese. Evening meal very good with excellent friendly service, however I had a very funny version of a prawn cocktail. Car parking excellent. Hotel very difficult to find but once driven fairly easy to navigate. Walked into town which was closer than we thought. Bedrooms small but warm."

19 Duke Street

8/10 Good

"Ideal location right by Liverpool one, staff we met were nice and helpful and welcoming, we were on the ground floor windows are wallpapered over so couldn't see out, I did feel it could do with paint job on woodwork. Cleanliness of the room was ok not great just ok not sure I would stay here again but location is perfect staff perfect just room bit of a let down"

Crowne Plaza Chester by IHG

8/10 Good

"Generally our stay at the hotel was good. The location is good, the room was clean and functional and the breakfast was excellent with great service. The let down for us was that when we returned to the hotel, cold and wet (due to the storm) on the Friday evening we first went to the bar to warm up. I ordered 2 coffees for for my wife and I, but was told the coffee machine had been cleaned and no hot drinks were available, this was at 10.15pm. A supposed 5 star hotel could not supply a coffee? I then asked for a port for us both but was told we don't have any ?? We went straight back to our room. The good points of the hotel were negated by the attitude of the bar staff who couldn't be bothered to help. Will try another hotel next time we need to stay in Chester."
