"We were given a full tour of the boat we had reserved with instructions on how to start the engine to make hot water, starting the furnace, etc. but the number of beds had unexpectedly changed (Cru Houseboats was under new ownership since we booked our stay) and the requirements for operating the boat did not appeal to us so we did not stay there. "I enjoyed my stay here more than any other place I have stayed in the UK. A wonderful old building done out with Georgian style furniture, only 10 to 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Nothing was too much trouble for the warm and friendly host, the bedroom faced the garden away from the road so was wonderfully quiet and the four poster bed was very comfortable.
