"Do not book this hotel. We have stayed in many hotels over the years and this had been by far the worst. Dirty, unkempt and in desperate need of an . The vertical blinds in the bathroom were missing slats allowing people across the street to look right in. After complaining the staff fix was to put a towel across the window, blocking out any light.
One of our bath towels had a large rip in it. Absolutely unbelievable"
"Tha staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel is well positioned for access to A1 and local bus route to Town.
The room was perfect with plenty of room and an extra large bed.
We had dinner in the hotel there was plenty of choice and all freshly cooked, excellent."

Room was ok at best. Bathroom was not great with mildew all over the bath / shower and there being clear stains on the towels.

"I was in Rm 4, a small twin with ensuite. The window opened (hood) but unfortunately, right onto the alley where the cooking fan vented. It was quite loud but did stop before bedtime.
Breakfast was surprisingly included and very tasty. Did not have dinner as there was nothing small that I wanted to eat. I was later told by a customer that you could order half portions of the main menu items. I didn’t realize this and would have done so.
Good drafts on tap, staff were friendly but the room...

The owner she was so full of energy, always smiling and laughing. Very caring as well, eger to please everyone.
I had a view of Bamburgh Castle from my room, which was a 10 min walk to get to.
Most definitely would stay again and highly recommend."
"My biggest frustration was being completely unaware that this was an unmanned facility and that we were to receive an email with access instructions within 24 hours of arrival - having spent the whole day in meetings then a drive to the guesthouse (arriving about 9pm) I was not aware of any of this. No answer on the contact phone number displayed at the venue to call in case of any issue. It all added stress I did not need.
Why not communicate this information at the time of booking?"
"We have just stayed here for 4 nights and would highly recommend. The room was very clean and had everything we needed .Even though we were on the ground floor at the back we did not experience any noise from the bar or restaurant. In fact the only noise we heard was the cars on the gravel in the car park.
The food was excellent there was so much choice for breakfast. The evening menu was amazing all locally sourced food. We tried several dishes and all of them were so tasty and the portions...
