"The room was good the pub food not good but it was not encouraging every menu was chips except curry or salad however not good but I have to say I enjoy vegetables cooked right they did not give choice but was good room "

"The location was excellent. The outside of the building within the rooms in it seemed a bit rundown, but the actual rooms were newly updated and very clean and spacious. There were lovely towels and a robe and slippers. The bed was very comfortable. There was a kettle with coffee and tea and shortbread cookies at the bedside. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, I was very impressed and highly recommend this hotel."

"The hotel part of the campus is only 3months old and everyrhing is gleaming. All staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Our upgraded double room was large and very comfortable. We enjoyed walking around the grounds and taking a peek into the public room of the castle. The breakfast was also excellent."

"Visiting southern Scotland , this hotel met our expectations. An older hotel , its remodeling was quite stunning . The rooms / restaurant/ bar were all very inviting. I felt its price was appropriate and I give it a 3.5 star rating personally. It’s a bit off the beaten path but I’d recommend highly if your trip planning takes you in that direction."
