"This place was so peaceful. The private balcony onsen and sound of the rushing water below was the ultimate relaxing getaway. The dinner and breakfast buffets were simply delicious. There were so many options and the tempura was perfect. We loved wearing the provided yukata down to dinner. The staff was also very helpful annd friendly. Our only regret was that we only stayed one night. I wish we could have stayed longer. Hakone Kowakien Yunessun entrance is accessible through a corridor...

"It's a great hotel. Our room had a private hot spring tub with a view of the river. Convenient location with short walk to tram which connects to "Ropeway" cable cars. The restaurant is excellent."

"It was set in a beautiful, lush area with bus access to many outings in Hakone. The hotel is an older one, with some renovations underway, but our room was big with a private bath fed by the hot springs, a definite highlight. Every dinner and breakfast was unique and flavorful. All of the staff was engaging and respectful. "
