"The hotel is about a 14-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station. It doesn't sound far, but after walking 30k steps a day, it definitely feels like it. The lobby looks nice, but room 1535 was dated and not very clean. The window tracks were dusty, the carpet looked like it needed a deep clean, and the AC barely worked. There was also stain on the lower half of the shower curtain. We asked to switch rooms, but the hotel was full, so housekeeping replaced the curtain and brought us a fan instead. The...

"Room was clean, and you can control the lights from the bedframe. No wait time for the elevators which was nice, especially as this was a high traffic area of Shinjuku. Staff were always kind and attentive. Overall, a wonderful stay for a first time Japan visit."

"This location is fantastic! Right next to the Tokyo Tower. The outside is pretty basic but when you walk in, you are transformed! The panoramic rooms are amazing, heated floors, amenities are true luxury. This is a hotel where tattoos won’t be allowed in the spa or workout room so be aware of that. Otherwise highly recommend!"

"The garden in the back was beautiful. The rooms were spacious. Great location to Shinagawa Train Station. They even had a 7 Eleven in the lobby area which was great. Tip - if you book the Grand Prince or Grand Prince Shin Takanawa, you can walk to Grand Prince Shinagawa and take the shuttle instead of lugging or taxing from Shinagawa train station."
