"Very disappointing check-in experience at Staycity Venice near the train station. The front desk staff (Alexandra) was rude and unprofessional. It took 20 minutes to check in one room, and she held my passport as a guarantee but refused to provide a receipt, which made me very uncomfortable. She even suggested I shouldn’t book this hotel again. Based on this experience, I won’t—and I wouldn’t recommend it to others, as there are many newer hotels nearby, some even closer to the station."

"All was good with the exception of no AC. Room was very warm. Were told to open our window, which we did, but no screens. "

"The room was two double beds for a family of 2 adults and 2 teenage girls. It was massive and worked really well for what we needed for a city break. The breakfast was minimal, but had all the usual continental offering with some hot elements too. The hotel had a great bar area, the whole place was really clean and the staff were very efficient. The best element for us visiting Venice was that it was right across the road from the train station which had multiple options for getting into the centre of Venice. A fantastic option for a trip around north east Italy."

"L’employée qui nous a servi lors de notre arrivée n’était pas de bonne humeur et ne souriait pas du tout. Rien ne nous a été expliqué et nous avons dû nous fier à nous mêmes. La salle de bain de notre chambre n’était pas très propre. J’avais l’impression d’être dans une toilette publique de chez McDonalds. Je ne recommande pas cet établissement. Je n’y retournerai pas!"

"They refused to turn on air conditioning despite it bein 26 degrees plus when we arrived the first day. They told us to open the windows. They did provide us a fan which was gracious but it was not enough. So we opened the windows and that made our stay extremely unpleasant. There was this constant smell probably coming from outside but would could not close windows because that would make us too hot. Seemed like exhaust from washrooms / seweage. Also the mosquitos or god knows what insects cames in and bit us so much. My son has so many red itchy uncomfortable bite marks all over his body even on his eye lid. On cleanliness room in general was clean but the toiled had marks in it. My wife had to clean it up else our son would never have used i."
