"We’ve stayed at the Ibis Hotel Southampton three times now with our family, and it never disappoints. The property is always spotlessly clean and pleasantly quiet, and the staff provide excellent customer service throughout our stay. We always pick this hotel when visiting relatives in Southampton because of its unbeatable convenience. It’s perfectly located near the city centre, Pure Gym, the cinema, and major shopping spots, making everything easily accessible. The breakfast selection is also great and great value too. As regular guests, we would be grateful if the manager might consider offering a 10% discount on future stays to reward our loyalty. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon! "Was quite disappointed with the continental breakfast what was given wasn’t what was on the picture no baguette looked dry and stale, The bedrooms didn’t have plug sockets by the bed to charge your phone they was all by the tv, The cleanliness of the rooms was good and had clean towels and bedding. "Pubic hair in shower otherwise room clean. A good view for a cheaper room. Very spacious room with nice furniture. Jacuzzi not working, stairs to pool feel dangerous. Bar was a nice area in evening for a drink or two. Breakfast had a lot of choice but hot food was almost cold which was a shame, buffets need refreshing. Roast potatoes in breakfast? If you remove the American hash browns from the English breakfast at least put bubble and squeak on. All staff interactions were great. "

"The hotel is beautiful and modern which we liked. It did lack in some big areas and I frankly expected better. The toilet was dirty on arrival and I don’t mean just a little. There were dried urine stains over the seat, the toilet, the base and the floor. Not sure how this could even be missed (which I can only assume means they don’t clean properly). It was resolved straight away but we shouldn’t have had to ask. The staff in the hotel were good. However, not so much at the onsite restaurant (The Rock). We found the service to be poor at the restaurant. We had to wait nearly an hour for a simple main meal which we were told was because of a lack of staff. This wasn’t communicated until after we paid. The prices are also too expensive. We had breakfast every day at this restaurant. The value for money is poor. They do not make it clear what is included. They will only let you order 1 item from the hot menu which is not stated anywhere. So you could effectively be paying £25 for some hot porridge. You also have to self serve everything including hot drinks and toast etc. At this price point I would expect a level of table service. Finally, the room is lovely. The terrace and view is amazing. We loved this. Again though there were some minor things that could be improved. This isn’t a cheap hotel and they need to have a better finish and eye for detail. Carpet edges and joins frayed. Holes in bedsheets. Cracked lampshades. It’s a shame but we probably wouldn’t return."

"Our room was clean and well prepared. The full english breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and the bar was well attended in a very pleasant ambience. All the staff were very pleasant helpful and professional, you couldn't ask for better."
