"A mixed experience at this hotel. Essentially it was a great hotel... but someone seems to have stopped spending any money on maintaining it a while back.
On arrival we happened to see a small sign informing us we had to pay for parking - only £3 but the stay started with a negative!
The air conditioning didn't work and when we asked about it we were told it wasn't supported any more. The room was stifflingly hot and the windows 'for our safety' didn't open very far. Presumably some clients...

"Staff were very polite, kind and accommodating. The rooms were surprisingly quiet (even with windows open), when considering how close to the train station etc the hotel is!"
"Really friendly staff and a great location for a business trip. Breakfast was spot on, and the room (and bathroom) were both a decent size. Only downside was that the décor in the rooms and corridors felt a little dated. I had two single beds in my room, but I was aware of that before booking – would be nice if the reduced rates applied to doubles as well."
"Nice hotel and location. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good.
Blue badge parking, disapointing, only 2 places, then there is no lift from the car park, which is directly beneath reception. In stead, you have to walk outside, up and around to enter. Ok when it is dry."
"There is lots to say about this property. First rubbish/trash left outside from last tenant, shower drainage issues, then flood through ceiling from drain upstairs. Insecticide powder across patio doorway. No communication from hosts about any of these things. Not really ready for people to stay in this state. "
