"It’s a wonderful place to stay, as the name says hotel, not hotel. That’s what makes it very unique. I have stayed in a similar place before few times around the world. But what make this place unique is the member who works there? Specially, this new manager, Tamara, she’s absolutely very, very kind person. The moment I have arrived, she had my room key ready for me. The check-in process was only a few minutes and very nicely. She explained to me about the entire facility. When I walk into my room, I see this beautiful welcoming handwriting by them sitting on the bed. It made me very happy. So I highly recommend this place.!!! "

"Close to public transportation, easy to get to Centraal station by tram. The neighborhood is gorgeous, everything very walkable. Our only complaint was the air conditioning locked at 20C, so we couldn't make it any cooler on hot summer afternoons, or nights. It made sleeping a little difficult. However, we definitely hope to visit again one day! "
"A beautiful boutique hotel away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. We were warmly welcomed by Gabby, and was offered a room, even though we arrived before the check in time. This was very much appreciated, after a long flight in. Do keep in mind there are stairs at the front door, and narrow steps on the 3rd floor to get to your rooms (in case you have heavy luggage). Rooms were clean and cozy. The only wish was to have more table surface/shelves/hooks to put our essentials. There is not sufficient storage if you plan to stay for more than 3-4 days.
There are several tram stops within a 5 minute walk from hotel. The hotel is also near the Vondelpark, so its a nice walk through the park if you're heading towards Leidesplein or Rijksmuseum.
The neighbourhood is safe but since it is primarily a residential area, there is not a lot of foot traffic, especially at night.
We had a lovely stay at Maison Elle Amsterdam, and we would return the next time we're in Amsterdam."
