"I love staying in this beautiful old hotel. It is a stones throw from the town and beach with beautiful views across the sea to Torbay and beyond. Breakfasts are fantastic and catered for my weird veggie dairy free diet with ease. The staff here are always so friendly and welcoming and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. Oh and my two dogs love it as well."

"Property is extremely dated and very little investment made. Lift doesn't work, some of the leisure facilities haven't worked for days. Fantastic location and access to the beach through the gardens. The outside pool was freezing when the outside temp was 20+, was defo not heated. The electric shower was disconnected with no warning, the sink was blocked that should of been picked up, the sofa lost a lot of pudding, the phone doesn't work, the fire alarm went off at midnight for 5 sec, windows are dirty. The property feels like it hasn't moved from the 1970s. If you want no frills with a leisure centre and easy access to the beach, this is an ideal property. "

"Shocking hotel in a very tired condition,the windows were moldy and cracked tiles loose floor boards and as for the bedding it was discusting with stained bed sheets and hairs on them which i dread to think where they came from. I ended up leaving early without breakfast as i really didnt want to eat there..unfortunately there was no staff to complain to in the morning."

"Absolutely fantastic space. Great house close to centre and easy walk to marina and beach. Plenty of takeaway options within a few minutes walk. No need to use the car. Plenty of parking. Great stay for 2 families of 5 with kids (2-13). Everyone could always find their own space. Great space for family games. A few steps getting in and once inside but really family friendly. We could all sit to eat around the table. We didn't use it as New Year stay but the outside space looked fantastic. "

"I cannot fault my stay at this property. As an expat who needed a base to look for permanent accommodation and job, this was like a little ‘home’, with tv, kitchen, homely furniture and en-suite bathroom. So reasonable. I’m definitely staying again soon."
