"While the property itself is beautifully done--with thoughtful fixtures and an artful appearance--along with an ideal location within steps of restaurants and shops--the service and staff are in need of improvement. After driving 7.5 hours and arriving right at check in time (4pm), I was told my room wasn't yet ready. The staff suggested I walk around and come back in awhile. I asked if the hotel could text when my room was ready. They agreed and took my details. An hour later--now 5pm--I returned the hotel even though I hadn't received a text. My room had "just become ready." Had all of this been delivered with explanation or apology, I would be totally fine--these things happen--but instead the front desk seemed confused why I was less than thrilled. It wasn't a good first impression--especially for a bespoke boutique hotel."
