"Just visited the Marymount hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and I must say the food is first class. The hotel itself is in a magical position on the shore of Derwentwater. You can visit Keswick on the bus from outside the hotel or use the boat from the near jetty. Hopefully will be back soon."

"We stayed only 1 overnight on the way down from scotland. We could see lot of people staying for visiting the lakes. The hotel is in a very nice location. They are also pet friendly and they provided us a towel and a bowl for the dog. We highly recommend both breakfast and set menù dinner which was very nice. "I have wanted to stay at this hotel ever since visiting Keswick as a kid. The hotel was marketed as being fancy, and from what I was told, recently heavily renovated. However apart from new bathrooms and some furnishings in the rooms and the downstairs area being painted, it really didn’t seem like it has had an overhaul that it desperately needs.
