"The room is large but not usefully so. There are no plug sockets beside the bed in the room I was in so you had to get out of bed to turn your alarm off if like me your phone needs constant charging. The TV was a disappointment. No smart TV services (despite the buttons in the remote). Fortunately the WiFi was fast enough to stream on the tablet. No casting available. The bathroom was a similar situation. The combined depth of the large square sink and the cabinet covering the toilet cistern made shaving difficult and there was no pullout shaving mirror. Breakfast too was a disappointment. Scrambled eggs, plum tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, sausage and bacon was all there was on hot counter. You get more for less at the budget hotels."

"Approximately 10 minutes drive to centre of Bristol and with good parking (£3.50 for 24 hours if staying). Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel and rooms are very clean and rooms are very large but the hotel could do with some tlc and looking very tired. Ideal however for a short stay"

"Amazing cortage, lovely big log burner. Perfect location for Bristol and bath. Also cottage between 2 lovely pubs which you can walk to in a few minutes. "

"Kelston is on the outskirts of Bath and so a car is preferable when staying. There is a nearby pub some 2 miles away which serves v good food. "

"Wonderful property and wonderful stay. Great walking paths. Love the multiple reception rooms so lots of spaces for people to gather. The kitchen is about as cozy as it can get. The rooms were all really good sizes. If you are tall prepare to duck a lot, hubby hit his head a few times in the door ways, but other than that perfect stay and would def go back again. "

"The Hideaway is a lovely little place, really tranquil and makes for a great break from the city. Easy enough to find and the hosts were really helpful and responsive. They also added some lovely little touches with mince pies, prosecco, cereal, milk, tea and coffee all left there for our use. I would definitely stay here again!"

"The accommodation was advertised as ‘Wow’, sadly it was not. The accommodation suited our needs for a family of ten adults and one baby. We liked the idea of everyone having their own bathroom and plenty of space to socialise. The bedrooms were advertised as recently upgraded This was not the case. Poorly decorated rooms with bodged work and badly maintained. The rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and fresh cotton linen. In our bedroom on the second floor There was an old ( brown aged) sign saying the shower couldn’t be used as it was leaking. This sign was so old it should have already been fixed. This meant we had to fit our showers around other people’s showers which took a while for us all to get ready for trips out. The window blinds in this room had holes in it and a moth trapped in the roller. The other bedroom on this floor had a terrible smell coming from the bathroom. It smelt like sewage. This wasn’t too bad the first night and we thought it was a blip but the smell was so bad the second night the couple and 4 month old baby had to put towels at the base of the door to try and stop the smell and not use the bathroom The had to go down stairs to the toilet during the night. The smell got so bad the couple were so worried about the babies health they had to move down stairs to the living room to sleep. Very unsettling for the baby. Also, in this room the roller blind wouldn’t stay down I weighed it down with a pole I have more to say but no room"
