"Overall this is a really good hotel to stay at and it was priced accordingly. The staff were lovely, kind and courteous and were always smiling. The room was better than a Travelodge and probably on par with a Premier Inn but without the price tag. It was over a hundred quid to stay at a local Premier Inn and this was perfect at £68 for a Friday evening. "It's an interesting hotel but tired! Must be an ex naval personnel club or hotel I would guess due to the large collection of naval memorabilia. Nice and decorative inside in an old fashioned way. Convenient for the Historic Dockyard which is only about 10 minutes walk away and was the reason for our trip, and Gunwarf Quays. Good cooked breakfast at a reasonable price. Nice and clean and a comfortable bed. Enjoyable stay but wouldn't stay here again."
