"I had stayed here before and was very happy with the level of security and help I received from the front desk. The location is great because you are just blocks away from all the main sites of the historic downtown and one block from a subway station."

"Small windows to open and NO AIR CONDITIONING. It was VERY hot and no air flow. The night was stifling and nearly wanted to checkout on our first night and go elsewhere. Paid a 200 peso ($12) deposit to borrow a fan. It helped but don’t sleep here if air conditioning is a necessity. "

"The kitchen was extremely filthy with roaches. This was definitely not the place to try and get any kind of sleep as they would play weird techno music (not the cool kind of techno) starting very early in the morning, during the week and on weekends. Some of the employees were rude, and they would not talk to you when you would greet them in the morning or at night. Since the place is low budget you do get many interesting characters that stay there, also on a budget so you feel like you have...

"For a low cost hotel in the historic center of a major city Hotel Patria was just fine. Excellent location for exploring the older structures, the Zocalo, Metropolitan Cathedral, Templo Mayor, and Palacio de Bellas Artes. We stayed a week and the weekend was pretty noisy in a fiesta way. Also there were demonstrations which made us glad we were able to walk places. Terrific value for the price."

"Staff was helpful. The rooms have no air conditioning or fans, some have no windows. Do it can get stuffy and hot in the warmer months. It is affordable to stay here and area is convenient to access various forms of transportation."
