The surrounding area is very beautiful and a joy to explore, including the towns of Burnsville and Spruce Pine nearby. If you decide to stay in, the kitchen is one of the best equipped kitchens we’ve ever used in a rental home."

I took this picture over the summer at Linville falls. The first known inhabitants of the Linville Falls area were the Cherokee Indians. For me, this felt like walking back 200 years in the past and experience what the natives experienced. Everything is preserved so beautifully. You are not really very far from civilization but when you see this and experience it, it feels like you have gone back in time. Linville Falls is the most popular waterfall in the Blue Ridge Mountains. It’s beautiful as it frames the typical Appalachia scenery like mountains and waterfalls. The Falls Trail distance is around 1.5-ish miles’ round trip and easy. It captures the true essence of Appalachia. It is truly worth the visit! #appalachianechoes
