super elegant hotel. we arrived very late, but the front

We were staying at the George Washington because years ago this pub (then the Black Bull) had been owned by my great grandfather so we would have liked it for that reason if for no other. However, we were delighted by the charming building, the comfortable and large rooms, the class of the pub and the food and the attention of the owners. Warton is a very small town and very quiet but it is wonderfully located near many attractions and the George Washington makes a great base to explore from...

Very much enjoyed our stay. The rooms was just as described and clean. Beds and bedding were cozy.

Superb location. Great kitchen.Nicely renovated room. Above all staff members are super helpful

Lovely inn located in the Yorkshire Dales. Very good restaurant for dinner and breakfast.

We were just in town for the night, but we adored this quaint inn and town. The room was modern, comfortable, and had everything you would need. The traditional breakfast (plus so many other options) was delicious with a great variety. We also ate dinner in the Red Dragon Pub the night before and were impressed by the service, food, and atmosphere. Come for the town and the Red Dragon Inn!

Located in a nice quiet town. Everyone is extremly nice. Breakfast was good and even had the option to be served in your room.

Excellent location for those wishing to overnight in Cartmel to enjoy its amazing g restaurants or to attend the races

The staff were attentive to our needs. We ate there on the second night of our stay. They food was lovely and hot when served. We did not wait for too long from ordering to getting our food. There were limitations on what we could have both on the food and drink side due to delivery issues. My and I were are aware that there was music being played when we went to bed, but I did not really interfere with us getting to sleep. Eat plugs were provided which my wife used. The pay and display car park...

This old manor home has been a hotel for a long time and it has a certain old world feel. But it's well-managed, comfortable, and the setting is fantastic. We had long walks on the beachfront (it's a unique sandy waterway), blustery rain, and a lovely walk into town for a nice dinner. Don't miss sitting in the lounge/library with a good book looking out over the front lawn. I would love to spend a week here with rainy days and big thick books to read.

The rooms were fine-we’d stay there again. The bathroom fan was running in the wrong direction-pulling air in.

Great stay

It was a nice experience and we really enjoyed it. The room was clean, staff was nice, and food was exquisite. I highly recommend Brown horse inn. Nice view.

This was a great stay. Highly highly recommend. Staff was excellent. Room is beautiful in a classic quaint way. Felt like the perfect classic Inn experience. We had dinner there. Food was amazing. Atmosphere was a mixture of locals and travelers. Relaxed and welcoming. Breakfast was served, made to order in the same restaurant and was excellent. Great area. Quiet but close to several things. Walking trail across the street allowed us some activity after dinner to a beautiful view if...
