"My experience at eco hotel uxlabil atitlan has been the best for my first solo trip. The people there are so kind, workers and the people of San Juan. There is a nice view of the lake and the food they serve is amazing. I highly recommend staying here if you are going to lake Attila. You are supporting the locals with your stay here and I was also recommended by the receptionist to a cooking class with Maribel who is the sweetest and kindest person I’ve meet during my stay. "Only there for a night. The host/manager could have done a better job explaining how to get there, instead of simply suggesting to use Waze maps! Also, they are building a new house at the bottom of the property, so it's a little dangerous having to walk thru a construction site to get to the beach down below. It should have been mentioned in the description of the property. The place itself is cozy, clean and has great views, although partially obstructed by the vegetation. A little far from the village, especially if you are walking at night, but you can always take a tuktuk. "
