"As I pulled into the car park it dawned on me that I had stayed there before but it had been a Premier Inn back then. I am not sure why it was no longer part of that chain but it hadn't really changed. It was the same as it used to be. It was clean and tidy and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. One word of warning: On their website they say they are in walking distance of the city centre amenities such as the Emporium Theatre (which is why we were there). We used Google maps to plan our walk and when it suggested it would take 50 mins we decided that was a little too much of a stroll to the theatre and back. Other than that this is a very good, value for money, hotel with lovely staff."

"The Royal Station Hotel its next to Newcastle Central Railway Station, coming by train & going back by train is handy, plus the hotel has a Swimming Pool in the Leisure Centre."
