"The hotel is grand and getting on in years now. For instance the lift is ancient/quaint. However the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel appeared to cater for a number of large coach parties so if you came down for breakfast at the wrong time the dining room was mobbed and you sometimes had to wait for some items. The staff were very pleasant and hard working and on occasion trying to keep up with the rush. Having said that overall we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel/Strathpeffer is very well situated for access to both the east and west coasts of the NC500 which is why we spend 2 nights here on the way out and one on the way back. A short drive to (maybe) see the dolphins at Chanonry Point and just 10 minutes to the Rogie Falls in the other direction."

" Nice hotel, great staff and good value. Large rooms for the UK, very clean. Provided a welcome bag with breakfast items, no dinner offered but nice bar and cafe. I little too far to walk to the main downtown attractions and took awhile to get a taxi but hotel staff was able to resolve. "

"Great location within walking distance to everything within Inverness. Great views of River Ness and the Castle. Room was cute and spacious but the bed was not comfy at all. Not sure if this was just our room but anytime would flush the toilet or take a shower the plumbing would sound like a barge was coming through - this would go on for the entire shower. It is an older hotel so assumed is just old plumbing but that was super annoying. Additionally someone's dog must of pooped on the entry floor and it was tracked all through and up the steps and they didn't clean it up until the next morning and it smelled awful. No parking but car park within few minutes walk and only 5 pounds a day. "

"The girl at the desk was running the whole show the night we were there. I believe her name was Louise. She checked us in, got us drinks at the bar, waited on us for dinner and gave us directions to where we wanted to go. She was amazing! The beach down the road was stunning. Good food as well. Breakfast staff was also very pleasant. "

"Just returned from a week in Scotland and used the Loch Ness Drumnadrochit Hotel as a base whilst backpacking the Affric Kintail Way over 4 days. Fantastic service provided all round by Donald and his team. From allowing me to park my car there for 4 days while completing my multi day walk to providing plenty of useful information about the area and things to do. On finishing my walk, I'd planned to stopover one night and return home.I decided last minute to stay for 2 nights to rest up and Donald booked me into a lovely room which was just what I needed after 4 days in a backpacking tent. He and his staff couldn't do enough to make me feel welcome and the food in the restaurant was excellent too. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking at staying in and around Loch Ness."
