"The room was exceptionally clean, every you could possible need was thought of,, However the food wasn’t quite so good,, the first night my fish was excellent, but my chips uncooked and peas hard,, the cheesecake was very heavy and tasteless,,, Breakfast the next morning was mostly cold,, cold beans, cold mushroom and hardly cooked tomato,,the bacon had futty undercooked rind,,, but the service was second to none by the waiting staff "

"Felt like we were staying in a family home despite the size of the place. Staff were very welcoming with brilliant service at breakfast. Parking can be tight if you’re in a large car but not a problem for us. The room we had was excellent. A corner room with double aspect and fantastic views over looking the countryside."

Reasonably straightforward to check in, although the lighting at the entrance and in the stairwell could be improved - I needed to use my phone torch. The room was great and had a lot of character with a modern bathroom. One minor suggestion - they should change their brand of shampoo. My hair has never felt so gross and greasy after washing and drying! But it was a convenient and comfortable stay. "
