"All of the staff, from reception and in the bar and breakfast are excellent as are the rooms and hotel but the food at night is 1star, I've stayed a couple of times and numerous items on the menu are not available and when served the quality of food is really poor and expensive. Breakfasts are very good and lots of fresh food available. A real shame about the evening food. A good reason to eat out."

"The hotel is well placed for spending time in Nottingham and easy to reach on foot from most locations. Its car park is safe and secure too. All the staff were excellent, friendly and professional, where nothing was too much trouble. The only minor negative is that some fixtures and fittings are quite tired and a full refurbishment of the bedrooms must soon be on the cards to bring the hotel up to date."

"Really nice hotel and very reasonable price. The rooms were really comfortable and clean. I didn’t use the facilities as I only stayed for one night but the bar/restaurant looked really inviting. Staff were really friendly. I did ask for a quiet room away from the busy main road but unfortunately my room overlooked the road. However, the traffic noise quietened into the evening so it didn’t really disturb me. There are a lot of dining options just outside the hotel if you want to try something...

"It is really comfortable in the room, and smells nice in reception entrance, but being a wheelchair user I had to go through the back and up a slight slope to get into reception. The ramp to then get down is really small so my chair didn’t quite fit, the lifts are also really small. The chair just fitted in and my partner had to leave the bags on top of me so he fitted in too. Apart from that it’s really good. "

"Good sized room and the bed was huge. The rooms are above the bar area which was fine as its wasn't too noisy. The car parking is easy as there is loads of space. I used this location as it was a short drive to the Water Sports Centre in Nottingham. the kitchens close about 8:30 ish so if you are late back for food I can recommend the Indian about 100mtrs down the road. All in all a nice location for a few days away"

"Great location, lovely suite and reasonable check in. Was going to eat on site but expensive offering...more importantly both chefs outside pressure washing the patio in their chef aprons...big no no for me so ate elsewhere....."

"Room 8- the bathroom had a bit of a strange smell. This is just a comment, no a complaint. The main door doesn't always close properly. These are just little things- overall very good."
