Would recommend garden room at minimum. Extra price not much and worth the minimal price difference. Let’s you have a much nicer experience when in the room itself or taking advantage of the spacious terrace or exposed shower. Otherwise you are facing other buildings or parking lots.

Beautiful hotel amenities and rooms. Staff and food options were great! All the food is delivered straight to the room which made it nice for those lazy mornings. The hotel is tucked in a small road, so you do have to be careful as cars and motorcycles try to squeeze by. We were there for 4 nights - very walkable to restaurants, bars, shopping and spas.

Wonderfully maintained hotel. Large property with many 4-unit Lanais. Nice pool and ocean front beach setting. The hotel hosts cultural dances nearly every evening and has local artists on site selling their work. The gift shop is very competitively priced with a classy selection of local items. Good restaurant with many Indonesian themed dinners. Overall it is the class and service one would expect of Oberoi.

Bali with its congestion and litter isn't really all a paradise. The moment you walk into the Trans hotel that changes. This hotel really seems to "get" the customer service/satisfaction piece. Every (and I mean every) person that we encountered over our stay was gracious, helpful and genuinely happy. We stayed in a number of hotels in Ubud, Kuta and Gilis, and this was by far the most outstanding. Simply put you get what you pay for here. We took the room across the road and it made little difference to the comfort and convenience of our stay. The room itself is beautifully laid out and the decor excellent. The hotel itself is amazing, with the highlight being the infinity pool overlooking Seminyak beach. The highlight was watching the sunset and surfers in the afternoon. Cannot say enough...

Our stay at the Legian was remarkable. To be fair, I have stayed at multiple 5 star rated resorts in the US and Caribbean and our experience here blew the others away. We actually ended up extending our stay by another two nights because we didn't want to leave. If you are able, I absolutely recommend staying in one of the private villas. Good location, close to airport, good service.

If you're going to stay in this area of Bali, this is the place to stay. To be honest, I don't know if it is truly a "5 star" resort as it doesn't come close to the Ritz Carlton-level, but it is a really nice place. The resort is family friendly with all kinds of activities for the kids. Plus, centrally located to good bars / restaurants I think my only real issue was the size / quality of the room for the price point. I've stayed in way larger / nicer rooms for $200 a night. Love the stay here. Super nice hotel. Staff are so friendly they helped in every way they could. Our lights went off twice and they came right in and fixed the issue. Helped with luggage and the location is next to everything. You can walk to coffee shop, tea, ice cream, restaurant, nail/hair salon massage etc.

I give the Anvaya 5 stars! I was in Singapore for work and decided to treat myself and check out Bali for a few days. It was too quick of a trip, but I wanted to do a little traveling. Service was the best, there were so many excellent personal I couldn’t name them all but thank you to all the staff that attended us. We plan to return. We were upgraded , food was delicious, pool, drinks. Hotel has a amazing theme, it needs some maintenance but would still recommend.
