"Go to place for our vacations to OBX, this is the third time we have stayed here. Is right on the beach, great views for the sunrise. Can even see the dolphins swimming in the morning. Several restaurants are close by. About a 45 minute drive to Corolla and 90 minute drive to Ocracoke. 20 minute drive to Roanoke if you want to go to the aquarium or see the Lost Colony play. Breakfast is good in the morning. Would recommend. "

"We wanted to check out the Outerbanks on our way home to New England from South Carolina. Wish we were there for more than an overnight. The hotel right on the beach with an ocean view balcony was a beautiful stop on a long car trip. "

"Best hotel stay in a long time from friendliness to cleanliness to quality!!! We just went for a special overnight with our family at the beach and it was perfect! We played in the indoor pool, ate breakfast with them, slept beautifully and enjoyed the wonderful ocean views as well as the pier!"

"The hotel was very clean and very accessible to the beach. Very close to shopping and food. The Dunes Resteraunt was a quarter mile walk and had excellent breakfast. The complimentary chocolate chip cookies at 8pm were great. Also, complimentary wine at 5 pm for the wine enthusiasts. Can't say anything bad about the Surf Side Hotel."
