"I only stayed one night but the owner was very friendly and helpful. She gave ma some good advice on bus services to get to the county cricket ground. Room was very good with more than adequate space and facilities. Lacked a wardrobe but that was not a problem for one night. Breakfast was excellent and indeed better than a hotel at twice the price that I stayed in earlier in the week "

"The ship Hotel has the warmest friendliest staff that we have had the pleasure of meeting for a long time even the dinosaur we came across at breakfast gave us a roar . The breakfast was great a good selection and steak Friday was a goody deal Sunday dinners 2 courses for £17 excellent."

"We stayed on a Sunday night in a HUGE family room. Beautiful high ceilings and a stunning stained glass window in an old building. The room was clean and had complimentary tea/coffee/milk etc and bottled water. The small bathroom was functional and clean and met all of our needs. The beds were comfy and we all slept very well. The staff were friendly and welcoming. No hot food was served but the staff had lovely recommendations for food nearby. There was no breakfast but we found a nice cafe...
