"Well located just 15 minutes from the station and easy to walk into the centre. Room was clean, and it was great to have aircon. However, the velux window leaked when it rained (as mentioned in other reviews), and there was no blind meaning the room was light very early in the morning, disturbing sleep. Also whilst the rain head shower was good - it has a leak and sprays water all over the bathroom. With a few small maintenance issues addressed I would have rated very good."

Perched on a hilltop above Bergamo, Città Alta captivates visitors with its medieval charm. Venetian walls encircle this UNESCO-listed treasure where Renaissance palazzos and ancient towers line cobblestone piazzas. "We stayed at Fuori Porta House for 4 nights with friends. We had a wonderful time. We enjoyed a welcome drink and snacks on the terrace which was a lovely surprise. The room was clean and very comfortable and the air conditioning was so needed as it was so hot. The best part of our stay in Bergamo were the friendly staff in the hotel. They made our stay. They even made up breakfast bags for us to take away on our last day with cute little messages on. We will definitely return to this friendly little gem of a hotel"

"This is a really beautiful hotel, the staff are excellent as was the breakfast! This stay would have achieved five stars except for one thing. In the bedroom for tea and making facilities we have paper cups, and no milk on either day. For the price we paid, we would’ve expected China mugs or cup’s and saucers. Huge comfy bed and lovely bathroom with toiletries was an added bonus 😊"
