"Room was stunning plenty of room to move about. Staff at reception came straight up with 2 more pillows. Ideal location & so quiet. Definitely stay again. Only negative i could say is could do with some chopped up fruit for yoghurt & some bacon"

"Stayed in room 114 the noise was horrendous doors slammed every few minutes shouting. Radiator not working but little heater to plug in which didn't make much difference. Rooms in need of a makeover. Security checking room cards with name & room number which made it feel secure till 2am. Braying on our door drunk lad & member of staff. This could of been avoided quick check on computer see what name booked room. Complained on morning after no sleep to be told they had to check as it was number given to them. Like I said 2 second check I'm guessing they do keep hotel guest info on computer. For £175 for the night i 100% would expect a lot more than what we got. We might as well of stayed in a hostel. Breakfast was awful cold not much choice for healthy option apart from an apple or orange. Definitely look elsewhere unless you want party hotel"

"Lovely hotel, we have stayed before, really comfy beds however this time we ate in the bar, not very good, our food came and it was cold, we all sent it back and, within 3 mins it came back again, all we could think of is that it had been warmed up in a microwave, 2 of us had chicken tikka there was 4 small pieces of chicken in it the rest was just sauce and it was £19.50 would recommend eating there but rooms and staff really nice."

"This is an incredibly average hotel for the price point (£325 for one night). The room was up two flights of stairs from a lift - which was not advertised. The room itself was somewhat tired and basic, with poorly thought out design (e.g. the rainfall shower head was not high enough for someone standing at 5 foot 8 to use, the bedside locker placement meant you couldn't open the wardrobe). Whilst there are areas in the hotel that are nice, this definitely sits in the category of all style, no substance and, at the price point, we will not stay again given the much better options in Manchester."

"Our room smelt of stale cigarette smoke on arrival. The reception staff changed our room straight away to another room which was acceptable."

"I had an ok experience which immaure was just a blip innthe system , but the room i intially booked was not the one i was given , i gotnplaced in an accessible room for the disabled which i did not need and didnt have some of the extras i had booked for , a simple converstaion got me moved however as i was almost straight out to the event i was attending it wasnt until late that evening i realised that the toilet was blocked in the new room I'd been placed in rendering it unsuitable for use which obviously could have caused some major issues, besides that it was a lovley spacious room with a comfy bed and decent facilities. "

"The hotel decor is very tired. Its an old building that has been painted in more modern colours but the carpets are very worn and the woodwork has been repainted on top of layers of old paint. It is not a boutique hotel as described. The windows are single glazed with secondary glazing so there is no sound proofing of the street noise outside. We didnt eat at the hotel so cant provide any information about that. The staff however are so friendly and welcoming!"
