We really enjoyed this hotel, great staff and breakfast. Good location easy walk to attractions. Hope to return someday. Recommend highly. No lift, so try for lower floor when booking.

While planning our trip to the UK, my daughter and I wanted to either stay at a Manor house or Castle. Middlethorpe Hall was the perfect choice. It is several miles outside York, but less than 10 minutes by uber or taxi.
The staff was gracious and solicitous. We arrived just in time for tea. The food was fantastic, generous, and the location in the the ball room facing the beautiful green lawn was exactly what we had hoped for.
Our room was not in the main house, but in another building...

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel du
Vin. Christina at the front desk and Adam, one of the general managers, were particularly friendly and helpful in offering suggestions of places to go, reserving taxis, and helping with luggage.
Although the property does not have a lift, the staff was happy to help carry luggage. I was in a suite on the third floor, up 37 stairs, so that was very helpful!

A beautiful top-notch property in York. Centrally located a 4 minute walk from the train station and 8/9 minute walk to York Minster and old town York. Plenty of stores and eating facilities all within walking distance.
The hotel itself and attentive staff plus very spacious and well appointed rooms made our stay a real pleasure. Definitely a 5 star plus!!

Amazing staff, terrific location, and the Medieval city of York made this a hit! Too bad England wasn’t in the World Cup Final :( We had to watch Spain win in a local Pub :(

This hotel is located in a great location. Close to the train station and the Old town. We were impressed with our room, the friendly staff, and the cleanliness.
