"I was with a young friend and her 3-year-old boy. The waiters were really sweet with him bringing him a folder with colouring games to play and a fox mask. One waiter brought him extra strawberries. They all made a fuss of him which was much appreciated.

"Jorvik House was a great stay for our overnight trip in York and was centrally located but away from the crowds of the city. The room was well appointed and quiet, and we had the best night’s sleep of our entire 3-week UK trip in the very comfortable bed!
The only fault of our stay is the lack of clarity around the parking at the property - we weren’t aware of the parking situation before we arrived and the closest car park was £25 per night. "

"Staff friendly and helpful. Only criticism is that the staff were too quick to remove any crockery at breakfast. I was part of a group and we weren’t able to have a breakfast without a member of staff coming between us to take away an empty yogurt pot or plate. It spoilt what was otherwise a relaxing break. "

That being said its secure warm and a great stay. Slept really well. The bathroom and shower where great. 10 min walk into town great quiet location.

"Only stayed the one night but the staff were very friendly and efficient, they helped us check baggage before and after check out so they were could explore the city without carting around unnecessary luggage.
