"very beautiful old building with lots of character, in the heart of the city, surrounded with lovely pubs and wine bars and next to the stunning cathedral. Comfortable modern rooms and great restaurant. Polite helpful staff and great food. Was a bit disappointed that we were given two menus (one was a set menu) and told that the chef 'may' permit you to swap starters, only to be told by the waiter that took our order, I couldn't swap my starter! Only watch out is if you have difficulty walking, there are steps to different levels and the lift to the rooms is located up an upper level, reached by steps."

"Our stay definitely exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly, the accommodation (2 bed villa with sofa bed) was spacious and clean with plenty of storage. We enjoyed using the pool and games room - great sunset views from here! - and also had a couple of nice meals in the restaurant. We had a fun 20 minute walk to the beach which went past a playing field which my grandchildren were very happy about! We also found another park with goal posts and playground a short walk across the road from the County Club. Parking was a bit tricky at times which was the only downside. "

"Lovely historic property on Tuesday Market Place. Lots of opportunity to walk the pedestrian mall that runs off TMP. A few chain restaurants are close by (Nando’s & McD’s) with the large Globe Weatherspoon just across. The breakfast buffet at Duke’s was very good with lots of selections kept fresh."
