"We felt very welcomed with the greeting at the reception with a welcome drink. Our room was lovely and the window could open to allow for a Scottish breeze. The breakfast was delicious"

"Very picturesque setting and pretty garden areas. Annex was a good distance from the main entrance if it was wet. Good sized room and bathroom but TV was far to small in comparison to the room."

"The hotel is in need of refurbishment to say the least the bar area was disgusting seats broken only bottles as pumps not working and dirty glasses infact the hotel should be condemned. The only saving grace was the staff and the breakfast the staff were polite,friendly and helpful especially Annie who made breakfast service a pleasure. Disappointing that hotels.com have this on there web site as im sure if they sent an inspector they would not recommend this hotel I for one will not be...

"Out of the way, but I chose that when booking. Rental car definitely needed. Property does look a little old and could use some updating, but was perfect for our group of 5 and we made good use of the washer/dryer at the end of a 2 week trip. Restaurant on site we used quite a bit due to the out of the way location was good, but not great. "

"This hotel was amazing. The drive in all the way to the period decorations of the hotel. The breakfast is to die for. "

"Arrived about 8.00pm. Checked into room and found the toilet wouldn't flush. Receptionist was there right away but failed to fix it. Transferred us to a different room right away. The new room was larger - 4 poster bed. Had to turn the radiator off and open the windows for fresh air. This made it very noisy from traffic noise. The room had a bath and a shower but the shower didn't work. Otherwise fine. The staff were friendly and helpful."
