"The location is great. The reception area looks clean & very modern. The non trainee receptionist was rude to us when we arrived, though the rest of the reception staff were as they should be. Our room was very basic and especially in the bathroom very tired looking. The shower is ancient. Woodwork - poorly painted/chipped. Toilet bowl edges were dark brown, as was the sink plughole. I asked a nearby cleaner to come clean it. I was unsure if it was covered by dark hair or just pure black grime....

"Ten minute walk to the Metrocentre made shopping there convenient and avoided parking problems. Room was clean and well furnished but a frig and microwave would be nice. Check on Expedia or other sites for the best prices."

"Great location for the hotel , right next to the Tyne bridge, hotel was easy to find but the car park was tight if you had a big car - only negative I have to say is that the car park was an extra £15’, room was clean and modern and large . The reception when you walk in is stunning and the breakfast the next day was really tasty and plentiful"

"Very tired and old hotel"

"I had good sleep. The lady making breakfast very friendly makes you feel like home. I booked one day and then added another night. Good for the price, I had to ask for pillows the one was in the room wasn’t to my liking . "

"Very friendly staff, but room was smelling of damp, the bathroom light was very bad, the walls were paperthin so heard snoring all night on the other side of the wall. Walking down the corridor towards our room was like walking in a prison - every door was painted in a glossy metallic grey and every door was scuffed and marked and looked like it had seen better days. It was fine for a one night stay but I wouldn't rush to book here again."

"Clean rooms. But on the small side but nice. The man on the phone to get i to the property we found to be not very helpful and quite rude."

"Clean room,friendly staff"

"Disappointing Stay – 29th August Unfortunately, our stay at the Little Haven Hotel was very disappointing. The room was extremely dated, and instead of a comfortable double bed, we were provided with two small single beds, which was not what we expected. Breakfast was equally disappointing. We were shown to a table that had clearly not been cleaned after the previous guests. We asked a member of staff to sort it, and while the used cups and utensils were replaced, we then had to ask again for...

"Room was good size and clean Use of the pool was good"

"Every time I travel back north I stay at this place as it's friendly, has what you need and more-aka the restaurant next door and nearby to bigger shops too"

"Great place. The bar was out of service as a wedding was in progress. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Small car park."

"Another good stay. Been staying here on and off for 15 years. Very convenient location, affordable and clean."
