We stayed in Cherry. It was a lovely room with a nice, up-to-date bathroom. It was plenty roomy for the two of us and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with great service. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely return.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Gainsborough. You honestly couldn't ask for a better location. It's just a block from the square and an easy 10 min walk from Bath Spa train station, so getting around the city was effortless. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were friendly and genuinely helpful throughout my stay.
The one small downside of being so central was some noise, though that was probably due to where my room was located. If you're a light sleeper, it may be worth requesting a...

The only disappointment was the fact that we would’ve loved to have had high tea, and try to book a reservation in the morning for the same day and were told that we needed to give 40 hours notice. I didn’t see that posted anywhere. If you have it posted it’s in very little print. You might want to revisit that. If it was on your website, I didn’t see it which could’ve been my fault. Staying at this historical and elegant property was like being a guest in someone's private country house. Service is personal and professional and the property has been tastefully modernised to ensure all 21st century comforts. We had the opportunity to try the "casual" dining restaurant and went back twice as the food was so good. Wish we could have stayed longer and hope to return.
