"The room was clean and roomy. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional. Cook to order omelets, sausage and gravy as well as the usually fare. Restaurants within walking distance. Overall a very nice hotel and service."

"Good place to stay. The breakfast was good but could use more seating. The food service staff were really nice and polite. Front desk staff were great, Kamille and Jasmine, they were great. Our room was great though the a/c was loud and sounded like a helicopter it worked great. I would stay here again."

"Room was reasonably clean and intact. Location was good (for access to Forest Park, the Hill, and the Botanical Gardens). Looks like a formerly decent big hotel that must have lost its big-name franchise. Carpets in common areas appear to have been cleaned, but stretched/damaged in the process. Room had no Kleenex... and front desk couldn't provide any. Sink in bathroom was cracked and crudely patched, but functional. Toilet flushed, but very slowly...with the outcome always in doubt. Tub functioned properly. In short: About what I might have expected ... if it had been about 1/3 the price I was charged."

"This was a lovely place for a get away. Lovely, quiet neighborhood and clean and welcoming home. We just loved it!"

"The parking was terrible. They charged us $10 for parking when we told them we had a car, yet didn't provide us with a parking space. There was a wedding and there was no place to park. The AC unit was so loud in the room that I woke up every time it kicked on thinking it was a truck going up a hill. The bed was also squeaky. AND NO REFRIDGERATOR IN THE ROOM. I stay in $400-$500 a night hotels frequently and they've all figured out people was a fridge in the room. I've been intrigued by the Cheshire for years and have had it on my list of STL places to stay. IM OVER IT. I wont be back."
