The room was lovely and spacious and clean, had everything you needed. The bed was super comfy with lovely soft bedding. The bathroom was amazing, lovely big space with both a walk in shower and roll top bath. The bath takes a long time to fill but it’s absolutely worth it. The host was so friendly and attentive, went absolutely above and beyond and catered to my dairy allergy. Would not hesitate to rebook if I return to the area in future

I love it when something exceeds our expectations, and this stay did. Awesome hosts, outstanding dinner and a huge breakfast (Make sure you book a dinner time before you go. They are very busy and there is nowhere else around to eat). Highly recommend.

hotel/bed and breakfast has nice friendly atmosphere, excellent breakfast, and is in walking distance of old town York. Only issue is limited parking in back, but they managed somehow by having cars that were leaving earlier closest to exit path. Helpful with things like where to get laundry done, where to go for meals, and unusual sites in old town that we would have never thought of. Will definitely stay there again.

Suite 1 was absolutely beautiful!

Very charming B&B with very kind proprietors. My only complaint is that there ia a lack of parking in rhe area. They have 2 very small spaces in front - if tou dont get those you havw ro fins street parking. For the rest, i really liked rhis place ans wouls havw liked to stay longer and explore the area more

An excellent place to stay, clean and friendly and a short walk to Peasholm Park, the Open Air theater and North Bay Beach. The roads are wider in this part of town and you can park for 3 hours on the street with a disc, or all day with a scratcher card from Alison. Room 2 is a well-planned and decorated double twin room with a spacious bathroom. There is a large tub and an easy to operate shower. The breakfast was excellent. I was shocked how much space and how great the view was for the price. This is an old mansion. It has creeks on the floors which I found charming, but all the amenities the shower, the bathtub, and the other bathroom the kitchen were perfect. The bed was very comfortable. We only tried one of the two bedrooms in our apartment. We only rented for a night, but felt welcomed and welcome to return. I recommend this property as it was one of the best I have stayed in in the UK.

A great location, quiet yet still walking distance to the Centre of town, clean, friendly, charming house with spacious bedroom and comfortable bed. We were on the top floor with a beautiful big window. Lots of great natural light. Breakfast was convenient and delicious in the charming dining room. Staff was cheerful and helpful. A very lovely spot.
