"This is the worst experience...what a Scam....we arrived with my husband and the street was very shady...the building was horrible and when we pressed the name of the hotel no one answered we even called the number and it did not exist...it was not until some people that lived in the building we had to go 5 floors up in a really awful building since the elevator was scary...we knocked and knocked and no one ever answered after an hour of standing and calling in front of the hotel we left and had...

"I cannot say much about the interior as I never got in. You need to call beforehand to gain access. I called 15 times over a 12 hour period (I have the call logs to prove it) and no one ever answered. I even had some locals call on their phone to make sure it was not me and no answer. I had to find another hotel at last moment and will now see if I can get a refund. The area is a bit rough around the edges. If you stay here make sure you can gain access. Good luck. "

"It is situated in a historical building however very nicely decorated. The area has many many options. We came to Genoa by train and the location is 11-15 minutes walking distance. If you take the taxi it will leave you bottom of these steps and you need to carry your luggages Apartment’s elevator is on 1st floor so you also need to take go up 10-15 stairs to get to the elevator. Perhaps a picture of where to turn in would be helpful or a statement if you reach the Submarine you went one street too far."

"It was a superb all-around experience from the moment we walked in. We were greeted with a great welcome, and our very heavy luggage, which we lugged from the train station, was quickly taken away from us and stored until our room was ready. As a bonus, once our room was ready, it was taken up and neatly stored in our room ahead of our check-in. Our check-in process with Roger was thorough and professional. The property is beautiful. Not a single disappointment. The room and bath were spacious and well-appointed—such a fantastic touch with the complimentary mini-bar. We only spent a day as a layover on our journey to Florence. I wished we had more days. This property was more of a five-star and a masterclass on hospitality."
