"Our stay in this hotel was great. It's in the heart of Old Quarter. The staff were nice, friendly & accomodating. Buffet breakfast is good, nice to have before exploring the city."

"Excellent value for the money. Great location. Quiet given you are booking in the Old Quarter. Staff is EXCELLENT. They are very accomodating and speak excellent English. The pool area is mainly covered so if you want sun they can't provide. Breakfast buffet was perfectly fine. I have stayed here twice in Hanoi. I spurlged before for nicer. Was in the Old Quarter but louder and the staff were horrible...."

"Booked 2 family rooms for a 6 girls trip. We only stayed one night. The road which the hotel sits is narrow, so need to walk 100 yards in..its in a good location . Walkable to most tourist places like the train street , Hoan kiem lake etc., The staff was very helpful, they allowed a little late check out,as well as kept our bags, as we had to leave by a 6pm train . The rooms were good size with standard amenities."

"The staff were very kind and friendly, and the cleaners did an amazing job at keeping our rooms tidy. However, the whole place was much older than we expected from the photos. No stairs for the first two floors so unless you’re staying at ground level, you will have to climb a couple of flights of stairs to get to the lift. The initial room was like a basement that smelled mouldy, they luckily gave us another room, but even the better room had mould between the shower tiles and the shower floor was extremely slippery so we both had falls in the shower. There was a good selection of food at breakfast, and the location was fantastic. However, I will opt for a more modern, cleaner hotel next time I visit Hanoi."

"Loved everything about this hotel, from the moment I walked in its doors. The reception staff was polite, professional, and fast. The room was immaculate. Jack, the General Manager, obviously trains his staff to a high level of service, and if you meet him when you're there, you'll find him charming and extremely helpful, like old-school service we used to get at the best five-star hotels in Europe (before they were mostly bought out by conglomerates or chains). His kind attention made me feel that the hotel is now a home away from home for me, and I am looking forward to getting back there as soon as I can"
