Green Dragon Hotel

"We liked the old fashioned grandeur of the place although the halls and doors could probably do with a spruce up. The room was quite large, clean and comfortable with tea and biscuits. The restaurant and bar looked quite nice but we didn’t use them. We thought the breakfast was a bit expensive at almost £40 for two so got some half price locally. We also had to pay £10 for parking nearby. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful though. All in all we had a nice stay."

"I stay here when working away from home, it does what it says , it’s an ideal base with great staff . Good food too . No cooked breakfast but then that suits me as I can grab and go from a self service area , no hanging around . Ideal !"

"Stayed for 3-nights the staff were fantastic and really helpful, the food was brilliant with plenty of choice, cooked beautifully and piping hot! The room was comfortable with a view of the river. Access to the river was easy and walks along the riverbank were wonderful. I would highly recommend this guest house as a base for exploring the area."
