"This was a sweet property. The owner was very responsive on the one occasion we needed to contact him. The kitchen was well equipped, but we only used it for coffee and sandwiches. I loved the desk in the upstairs room for doing my Bible study. It was a comfortable, quiet place to stay and we enjoyed it very much. Funny story - on the way there I asked our GPS for directions to Highlands and it gave #of miles to West Ireland. You will find GPS to be less than reliable, but somehow we always got where we needed to go. If you go I highly recommend the boat tour of Glenville Lake with Captain Mike. Not inexpensive, but you learn so much, see some falls you can’t see otherwise and very beautiful homes. He stops in November and I believe resumes in March."

"Our stay at Skyline Lodge was terrific … the Frank Lloyd Wright motel has been perfectly preserved with a sense of detail, simply beautiful … nestled in nature with hiking nearby and very convenient to downtown. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and Oak Steakhouse was amazing, wonderful atmosphere, service and delicious food! We’re definitely going back!!!"

"The home is beautiful and the scenery was spectacular. I could have sworn that each morning we looked out off the deck and the colors were changing daily. The acorns were dropping and it was fun to hear and see them bouncing on the deck. Even when it rained the deck was a wonderful place to sit and visit and share meals. The kitchen was well stocked and even supplied for s’mores. The bathrooms and kitchen had provisions that we have often had to bring for ourselves in our other travels. Communication with the host was always quick and helpful. The shopping in Clayton and Dillard was delightful and the book store in Highlands was a treasure trove! We celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with friends we won’t see until next year and it was so cozy and festive in the environment of this warm retreat."

"3 bedrooms but every one has only full size beds, not even queens as you would expect for this price.Outside patio is very nice, with waterfall system. However parts not covered get slippery when damp due to mold.Kitchen is great!Tv do not have hi def cable so picture is poor."
