"Overall, Hotel Parco Cartaromana was a pretty mid stay. The view of the Aragonese Castle was absolutely beautiful and definitely the highlight of the hotel. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating. I have celiac disease, and one gentleman went out of his way to make my cappuccino separately and provide me with several gluten-free breakfast options, which I really appreciated.
That said, there were a few major downsides. The beds were extremely uncomfortable — you could literally feel the springs digging into your back all night. Also, housekeeping knocked on our door at 7:45 AM to clean the room, and even after I said “excuse me, no thank you” she still started opening the door. That honestly felt really invasive and inappropriate.
Another thing I found frustrating was the towel policy. They make you rent beach/pool towels, which would’ve been fine if it had been explained clearly upfront. We only took out 2 towels total and reused the same ones for our entire 4-night stay, yet we were charged for them every single day. We weren’t even made aware of the towel fees until checkout when we saw the receipt.
The hotel has a gorgeous location and some kind staff members, but between the uncomfortable beds, early housekeeping intrusion, and hidden towel charges, I probably wouldn’t stay here again."
