Keswick Country House Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We've stayed here a few times now. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good with a variety of options for either cold or hot food. We had our evening meals as well which again had a nice selection and good portions. Has a bar and lovely lounges. Our room was lovely and clean. Already planning our next visit. Just a five minute walk into Keswick. There is free parking on site."

"I'd particularly like to thank Sharon at the reception desk > she was so helpful on arrival and very pleasant. The parking was easy and the room was spotless, even the breakfast was very nice. We actually stayed about 8 years ago as well. A place I will come back to if we were staying in the Lake District again."

"We had a great stay and the position of the hotel was great for us. you get what you pay for and i am not being critical but a bit of an update, renovate and decoration in some areas would help to improve the hotel, however this did not affect our stay in any way and the staff were great as was the restaurant."

"This is an older hotel in a gorgeous location right on Grasmere Lake. The interior has been modernized, which some traditionalists lament, but it is very comfortable. There is humorous, whimsical art throughout the facility. The large spa is a real plus. Breakfasts are ample and offer plenty of options. Large bathtubs in the rooms are very nice. Our shower stall often smelled musty, but this could be relieved by leaving the door open. A full length mirror in each room would be a good addition. If space is a concern, it could even be placed on the back of a closet door. All in all, a beautiful place in a prime location. We would stay here again."
