We came up to the lodge at Big Medows in Shenandoah National Park in order to view the Perseid Meteor shower. The lodge and the food were wonderful and the meteor shower was out of this world.

The suites( they are more than rooms) are marvelous. Quiet, great views and one of the most comfortable beds ever. The bathroom was also very nice, and the floor is heated. Couple that with butlered coffee and beignets each morning, and you’vr Got s high standard to beat

The hotel is great, close to Shenandoah National Park. Excellent staff and the breakfast was wonderful, veggie omelette and turkey sausage.

It was so wonderful to enjoy the starry and silent night.

Casey is a remarkable host, delivering with her family, a very high quality experience! No amenity was overlooked. The property is in excellent condition; the grounds and setting, interesting and historical; the breakfast scrumptious and memorable; and the nearby downtown city of Orange afforded very good restaurant access. Simply, the best B & B experience we have had the pleasure to enjoy, thanks to Casey's and fam's effort!

Everything was perfect from start to finish. We got exactly the room that we booked the staff from check into the staff in the gift shops, and in the dining area were friendly and accommodating and made you feel right at home! We did just keep commenting on how friendly everybody was. Of course our room was beautiful the view was breathtaking. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The food was fantastic. My husband had the western omelette and I had the Greek on blood but I did not want feta cheese...

This is a brand new property and very clean. We had a larger suite with the small pull out sofa. Overall we are a family of five and I always notice the size of a room and this one was on the larger size. If you have younger children they would have room to play on the floor. My family was very pleasantly surprised with our stay. We arrived late Friday night to a very friendly desk clerk who took care of us quickly and professionally. Room was very nice and comfortable. We were staying here for its proximity to a swim meet in the area. We enjoyed our stay at Hopkins very much. Very hospitable but not luxurious. Breakfast was very delicious and the hosts were very helpful. Located in beautiful farm land with national park nearby and great restaurants. We enjoyed the ale from the ale house too.
