"Hotel very clean tidy and very handy to takapuna"

"The whole place is very run down. Very tatty and falling to bits. One of the beds did not have clean sheets and we had to use a sleeping bag on the mattress. No soap - only shampoo and moisturiser. Luckily we brought our own. One of the lights in the bedroom began flicking and fizzing. No smoke alarms present. Several windows missing latches and could not be closed properly. We were asked to pay a $100 "bond" and he wanted to take a photo of my credit card! Very dodgy - don't agree to it. Water coming out of tap was almost non existent. Took quite a while to fill up the kettle. Coffee sachets provided were revolting and suspect many years old. I would not recommend staying here. Probably the worst place we've stayed at. Never again."

"We loved our stay at Ruby’s! The location was perfect for our needs. The house is so cute, warm and very well appointed. We enjoyed the generous breakfast offering and slept well with comfortable beds and pillows.Dealing with Ruby was super easy with great communication. All information was clear. Check-in and check out was a breeze. Highly recommend Ruby’s!"
