"We stayed at Toby’s resort in April 2026. Due to the recent hurricane in Montego Bay, our usual lodging was greatly damaged. I looked on the reviews from Expedia and decided to give it a try.
The check-in process was not bad. The manager was very pleasant and inviting. Once we began walking to our room, there was a long flight of steps to go up. We booked the “DELUXE” room. Sad to say there wasn’t anything deluxe about the room. The room was definitely outdated, the bathroom door was a sliding door. We didn’t have a dresser to put our clothes in. The iron leaked, the iron board had no iron padding and couldn’t be removed from the wall. The bathroom had a scent from the sewage that was backing up from the pipes, they gave us coffee beans to cover the scent.
The room needed a paint job. The king-size bed was 2 twin beds put together.
I must say that our cleaning lady was great, she gave us fresh sheets and fresh towels daily. She was friendly. She apologized for the scent in the bathroom and said that since the hurricane, everywhere had issues with sewage back-up.
Check-out was easy. Will I stay there again? No. This “resort” needs a complete makeover. The reviews were very misleading."
