"We had a marvelous time at Le Manoir d'Auteuil, and Quebec City, and we hope to return someday soon! The hotel is charming (not at all "corporate") and the staff invariably friendly, helpful, and thoroughly English-speaking. The light breakfast is generous (hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cheese, breads, fresh fruits, cereals, etc.) and includes delicious fresh pastries baked on-site. Most rooms require negotiating steps, and there are no elevators, but we're fairly ambulatory (in our late 60s), so that wasn't a concern. The location is very close to the Plains of Abraham, the Citadel, and shops; and it's within reasonable walking distance to the hearts of upper and lower Old Town The hills are unavoidable, so when we dressed up (in our uncomfortable shoes) for high tea at the Chateau Frontenac, the Uber cost us less than $CA12 (plus a generous tip) each way. There are also local buses a few blocks away that took us directly (with stops) to the Falls and malls. We walked absolutely everywhere within the walled city (and some beyond), and we saw so very much in our one week stay! It was an amazing, delightful experience which we highly recommend! "

"All the staff we were in contact with were very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The only concern we had was the main entrance was closed and the temporary entrance was a bit of a challenge with heavy luggage and rainy conditions - all a temporary issue we know. That does not take away from the first class staff and excellent room. We still enjoyed our stay for two nights."
