"We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful beachfront home. The setting alone is unforgettable—every evening brought breathtaking sunsets right from the house, making it the perfect place to unwind and take it all in.While the ocean directly in front of the house isn’t ideal for swimming due to the rocks, it’s just a short walk to an excellent surfing spot, which more than made up for it. The location really offers the best of both worlds: peaceful views and easy access to the water.One of the standout features was the daily housekeeping, which made the stay feel effortless and truly relaxing. Everything was always fresh and well cared for.Juan Pablo and Olga were incredibly attentive and welcoming throughout our stay. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which made the experience even more special.Overall, a fantastic place to stay if you're looking for stunning views, thoughtful service, and a relaxing and private beach getaway. "Kitchen was old, not well equipped, lighting poor, ants everywhere especially at night. There were no shops near by, you needed a car to get to them. The gordwalk was treacherous , old and dangerous for walking, wooden boards cracked, missing and installed far aoard. Beds were nice and clean but floors were old and looking not very clean. stoned wall in the bathrooms was rough, dirty and full of insects. Shower heads were poor. "

"What a gorgeous hotel just steps away from Playa Avellanas. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms luxurious. The pool was a welcome respite at mid day. Lola and her sister addressed all of our queries and prepared delicious typical Costa Rican breakfasts. FYI: The heights of the beds, sinks and counters were a little high for an average sized person. "

"This VRBO was absolutely stunning, the photos did not do it justice! The ocean and beach are literally right there. And the beach is beautiful. At high tide you can swim and low tide there are water pools everywhere to go and relax in as well! Honestly perfect. There is AC units above the beds which are greatly appreciated & blackout blinds to keep it super cool in the cabin! Highly recommend anyone to stay here in a heart beat - look no further!!"

"Staff very friendly. There is no front lobby, this is more a Boutique Hotel. But staff is present most of the day and evening if needed. Breakfast was very good. We stayed in the economy room which is on a second floor through a spiral stairway. I should have booked the larger rooms, which offer beds on the first floor and are more spacious. Pool is small but very nice. A short 3 minute walk will take you directly to the beach."

"Great access to the beach via a board walk through the Mangroves. Surrounded by birds and so many cool animals, this is truly a gem of a stay. The room was great, and had comfortable beds, large bathroom, and AC. Highly recommend. The only struggle I had was getting assistance from the staff for arranging tours and activities even though their website mentions they can help. Highly recommend the Oropopo Experience guided Avellanas Wildlife Walk."
