"A hidden gem in the very heart of the historic district. An old Spanish colonial house with an open courtyard. Walk 5min to the Basilica and the Plaza Grande. Lots of good restaurants around too. Full of green plants lovingly cared for (even polishing the leaves) by the staff. Mariam and her staff were super friendly and looked after me really well. It was truly a pleasure to stay there and I look forward to another visit."

"I give Hotel Casa Alquimia 5☆ because there are no more stars to add. I absolutely loved my stay there with my family. Andre was very responsive and accommodating and all of the staff was extremely nice and helpful. I really appreciated the hotel's added service of being picked up and dropped off at the airport for a reasonable price. Additionally, I waited last minute to book a tour so there were no available tours for the days I wanted, but I didn't know that the hotel also offered a variety of tours that luckily I was able to book very quickly with the help of management. I was very grateful for our tour guide Yoel, and driver Manuel who were very professional, knowledgeable and fun to be around. They took us to "Baños" were my family and I enjoyed several activities all strategically put together to get the best nature experience I could asked for. My kids completely loved this adventure Yoel prepared for us, the restaurant he suggested and the patience to answer all our questions about the country. Finally, the hotel is so beautiful and conveniently located. Everything inside the hotel looks cozy, nicely decorated and well-preserved, keeping its original style intact. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, healthy and prepared by the nicest people ever. I never thought I would fall in love with Quito so much. Whenever I come back to Ecuador, I'm definitely coming back Hotel Casa Alquimia. I'm really thankful to them for making our stay so unique and memorable. "

"This boutique hotel is fabulous! We are in the Room with a View and it is huge and spacious, with two large bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Each room is decorated cleverly and is squeaky clean. The refrigerator is filled with food for breakfast or snacking, all included in the price. Arriving late at night it was fantastic not to have to look for an open restaurant. Instead we ate yogurts and made cheese sandwiches with the very fresh loaf of bakery bread. The room is also quiet, although we are a short walk from the center of the Old City. The staff member on duty when we arrived, Joz, was incredibly friendly and helpful and explained how to use the coffee maker and stove (yes, you can make eggs for breakfast!) and how to operate the front door for exit and entry. He was very thorough and so kind and happy to have us staying in this incredible hotel. If you want a unique experience in an 18th century home that has been refitted into an incredible hotel, stay here!"

"This hotel is EXTREMELY CLEAN AND BEAUTIFUL TO THE DETAILS! Showers is so amazing but the products shampoo a conditioner cream soap are spa level, food is gourmet but the service is upscale, coffe at the room is Omg and the bed the pillows the little details like delicious water a plate with amazing local fruits desert and orange juice as welcome ! A básquet of local snacks … and the fountain at night sound as rain ! What can I say just Amazing"
