"Good location to public transportation both JR train station and Metro/subway. Nice light and airy upstairs common area. Having 2 toilets was a must for us. Host very responsive to my needs/msgs. For consideration: lots of narrow stairs. On 3rd floor of bldg, no elevator. Two story apt with more narrow stairs. Information booklet needs to be updated. Never completely figured out how to use induction stovetop. Overall, enjoyed the accommodations. Lots of room/space for the 5 of us."

"Our check in process was very difficult. The owner never emailed the check-in information so we had to call VRBO for help but after about an hour of standing outside when finally got in. Our booking was in July so of course japan is hot and humid but this rental was very hot, very humid and had a mosquito problem. Even with the AC and dehumidifiers on the upstairs was way to hot to sleep so we all slept on the main floor. Also, with this being a traditional Japanese home the beds were mats on...

"The owner was very helpful and polite. They gave us excellent directions and local guidance. The house had all the amenities we could hope for, including good air conditioning during the hot days at the end of summer. The three of us stayed for five days and also took advantage of the lovely grocery store a block away. The seven minute walk to the nearest train station was pretty convenient as well. The only thing that could've been better was a second or bigger shower, but you probably can't...
